Just as our luau at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort began, I noticed a potentially fantastic sunset occurring on Kaanapali Beach. I just had to get out and see what was around the bend, and man was I awed. This is about as classically beautiful as a sunset gets. As a bonus, I was able to illuminate some beautiful flowers with flash off-camera for a stunning color combination, all hand-held. This was the last night of our trip. When nature does most of the work for me, I just try not to screw it up. With every click I felt bad for letting my wife sit at the luau table without me, but I think we're both glad I took a few minutes to capture this.
